About This Experience
Experience one of the more unique places in the world – a penguin colony in the middle of suburbia! And one of the best places to see it is from the water in a sturdy sea kayak!
Departing from Simon’s Town Waterfront, you will paddle past the civilian and Naval harbour as your guide points out places of interest to you. A leisurely paddle hugging the coast takes you to Boulder’s Beach, home to a breeding colony of African Penguins. View and photograph the penguins.
Then paddle towards a semi-private beach where you will stop for refreshments, a swim and a snorkel if you wish. During whale season from July to November keep a look out for breaching whales that come in close to the shore to calve.
