About This Experience
Open cockpit microlight flying is undoubtedly the closest you will ever come to experiencing the true magic of powered flight. Soar through the skies in the ultimate powered flying machine on this truly memorable experience.
Upon arrival at the Wintervogel Airfield, you will meet your pilot and be taken through a full safety briefing. Then you are issued with an original Luftwaffe flying suit, goggles and cap to keep you warm in the air. As you taxi onto the runway, you can hear your pilot communicating on the radio, then it’s up into the air!
Once airborne you will experience panoramic views of the area as you leave the airfield and head towards the west coast. Experience breathtaking panoramic views of Table Bay with Table Mountain in the background, Robben Island and the Atlantic Seaboard. Look out for whales and dolphins during the whale breeding season from July to November. Fly over pristine white West Coast beaches and take in the exceptional views across False Bay to Cape Hangklip and the winelands. You are welcome to bring your camera along to capture memories of this amazing experience, just ensure that it is securely strapped to your arm.
