About This Experience
Experience hands on training in this introduction to the ancient sport of falconry. Discover the history of this art and the methods used to train and handle birds as well as their breeding. Then take in one of the interactive shows at this rehabilitation centre and learn about different hunting techniques and flight patterns of various of these raptors.
Experience the thrill of having a bird fly to your glove and take off again after its prey After the display, return to the master falconer for further instruction in falconry and the opportunity to have a Harris Hawk fly to your glove. Finish off your visit with a meander around the centre to observe the large collection of raptors and owls brought in predominantly for rehabilitation into their natural habitat. Bring your camera with as fantastic photo opportunities abound here.
Please note that the falconry season runs from April until September each year.

Experience cannot take place during wet or very windy conditions
Restrictions:
Minimum of two participants, maximum of 8 participants. Participants must be aged 16 years or older.
Spectators:
This experience is not suitable for spectators, however a day pass may be purchased directly from the centre and non-participants may wander around and meet the birds
