About This Experience
Arrive at this popular gliding club on a weekend day and prepare to immerse yourself in the growing sport of gliding. Upon arrival, meet up with some of the pilots and arrange to get yourself on the flying list. Be fully briefed on all the safety aspects and watch some of the other glider launches as you wait your turn in the row.
Then, it’s over to your pilot. Climbing into the front seat of this glider for the best views from the air, excitement mounts as you are towed down the airstrip for take-off. Once in the air, the towing line is released and you’re free!
Feel the exhilaration of free flight as your pilot skilfully manoeuvres the glider to catch the thermals rising off the surrounding mountain peaks to keep you up in the air. The broad wingspan of the glider glints as the sunlight catches it. Admire the views of the Worcester valley unfolding beneath you as you soar gracefully above. Finally, your pilot brings you to a gentle glide back to the airfield after introducing you to one of the closest means that man can fly unaided.
