About This Experience
This excellent off-road driving brings together the best 4x4s and the best of South African offroading for an exciting, thrills packed full day adventure.
At the start of this experience, you’ll have the choice of driving either the iconic Land Rover Defender, Discovery4 or Freelander2. Whichever vehicle you choose you’ll be driving one of the best offroaders available. The original and rugged Defender has a raw ‘go anywhere’ appeal whist the Discovery4 and Freelander both combine all-wheel power and the latest technology to power you through the tough terrain ahead.
After a familiarisation with the vehicle you’ll venture out onto the custom built off road course constructed on an estate in the Stellenbosch winelands.. Driving through vineyards and on rough tracks you’ll be challenged with steep ascents, angles and obstacles including water and muddy terrain. Your trained instructor will be on hand throughout to give advice and suggestions to help you get the best from the experience.
After a break for lunch on this top wine estate in Stellenbosch, it’s a short on-road trip to your next destination. Brush up on your mountainous terrain driving skills or try your hand at driving in sand. This latter driving experience is unique to the Cape and well-worth a go!
Finish your experience back at the estate where you are invited to sample some of the fine wines before leaving with your certificate in hand.
