About This Experience
Take in the exquisite beauty of the winelands from the air in this exhilarating flying experience.
Upon arrival at the Stellenbosch Airfield, you’ll be welcomed with coffee, tea and rusks as you await your safety briefing and pre-flight instructions. After meeting your pilot, you’ll climb aboard and prepare for take-off.
Then it’s up up and away as you fly east along the Stellenbosch mountains towards the Simonsberg. View the town of Stellenbosch from the air before flying over Paarl then the Bains Kloof pass. Pass by massive behemoths of Cape fold mountains as you fly towards the Hex river valley with its world famous patchwork of vineyards.
Looping round on your return journey, you fly over South Africa’s own ‘Petit France’ – Franschoek with its quaint estate names such as Chamonix and La Motte belying their French origins. Then it’s a final sweep over Helshoogte towards the airfield again as you land with Table Mountain a distant backdrop.
