River rafting is a fun outdoor activity, and can – depending on the water level of the river, be incredibly thrilling.
As you arrive you will be greeted by your friendly guide and fellow paddlers. After sorting out some paperwork, it will be time to get started. Your journey begins with a short 20 minute drive through a private game park on the way to the river. The game park covers 600 hectares giving you the opportunity of possibly catching a glimpse what the park is known for – it’s Lions, so don’t forget to bring along your camera.
At the river, you will be given a safety briefing and once helmets and safety jackets are on, it’s time to get into the rafts. The rafts supplied are stable and the guides are experienced but if you do happen to fall out you may have to swim a bit! This is a great experience for young and old, with Mother Nature making it special for everyone! If there has been recent rains, the river could be flowing quite fast, making this up to a Grade 4 rafting experience. There is some level of fitness required to really enjoy this experience to its fullest.
Back at the pick-up point, the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the reception area.
Be sure to remember to pack a bag with dry clothes and a towel, just in case you do take the plunge!
